FromSoftware, the developer identified for video games reminiscent of Bloodborne and Darkish Souls, now has full possession of Elden Ring, the critically acclaimed motion RPG it launched almost two years in the past.
In keeping with a U.S. Patent and Trademark Workplace trademark task doc, Bandai Namco, which printed Elden Ring, switched the possession of the trademark for the sport over to FromSoftware. The doc notes that Bandai Namco signed the doc in March 2023.
“NOW, THEREFORE, for good and beneficial consideration, receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, [Bandai Namco] hereby assigns to [FromSoftware] all proper, title, and curiosity in and to the Trademark,” the doc reads. “[T]ogether with the goodwill of the enterprise symbolized by the Trademark and the recognized registration therefor, and with all claims arising out of or regarding the usage of possession of the Trademark.
Elden Ring was launched in February 2022 and have become a large hit for FromSoftware, turning into a important and industrial success, promoting over 20 million copies in its first yr.
